On the Railway -

Produced in the early years of North Korean Cinema.
It is autumn, 1950, the Korean War is raging and the North Korean Army is conducting a strategic retreat. Train engineer Ko In Ho, finding his retreat back north blocked by a bombed out railway bridge, evauates and hides precious machinery and war supplies that his train was carrying, to avoid having it fall into enemy hands.
The enemy front line (Americans, along with their South Korean puppet allies) advances past In Ho's position and he finds himself stuck behind enemy lines, where, he is obliged to drive the enemy's military train.
His position is very difficult as he is constantly watched by the enemy, who doesn't fully trust him, and looked upon with hatred by his former colleagues, who think that he has betrayed them and is now aiding the enemy.
Meanwhile, In Ho secretly tries to establish contact with the communist underground organizations that are operating in the enemy controlled area, and looks for an opportunity to smuggle his train back to friendly territory.
The "Americans" with their huge makeup noses, and "scary" appearence are quite amusing to see as they speak a few words of "English".
They are also shown machine gunning innocent civilians, drinking and just generally acting wierd.
