                                  Ohio photographer Maddie McGarvey came to Kalamazza, Michigan 

                                   in October 2020 to cover the process to manufacture the Pfizer vaccine.

Maddie McGarvey: Regulators are looking at three criteria for vaccines: 

Will that work? Is it safe? Lastly, can we make it safe on scale? 

For Pfizer, the development of the current mRNA-based coronavirus was a promise

 that the $2 billion answer would be "yes." 

매디 맥가비: 규제 당국은 백신에 대한 세 가지 기준을 검토하고 있습니다. 

잘 될까요? 그것은 안전한가요? 마지막으로, 규모에 맞게 안전하게 만들 수 있을까요?

Based on clinical trials of more than 40,000 people, the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine received 

non-commercial permits from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on December 11, 2020. 

Within hours of approval, the first dose was packaged to be delivered to patients. 

화이자바이오엔테크 백신은 4만 명 이상의 임상실험을 바탕으로 2020년 12월 11일 

미국 식품의약국(FDA)으로부터 비상업 허가를 받았다. 

승인 후 몇 시간 이내에 첫 번째 선량이 환자에게 전달되도록 포장되었다.

"The epidemic has taught us a lot of lessons and they have affected the entire range of human activities," 

Albert Ball, secretary general, said. "[N] I think what really matters is that I learned from the power of science." 

"이 전염병은 우리에게 많은 교훈을 주었고 그것들은 인간 활동의 모든 범위에 영향을 주었습니다,"

It was amazing to see the vaccination race. 

And I'm very grateful to the people who worked hard to do this at a record pace.
