The Smolensk Nuclear Power Plant is situated in the Smolensk region not far from a little town called Desnogorsk.
It is one of the best and safest nuclear power plants in the world.

Everyone who entered the power plant have to wear a special uniform: white hat, socks, shirt, boots, gloves, robe, helmet, and ear protectors.

Smolensk Nuclear Power Plant is the safest in Russia and takes the 10th place in the range of the world’s best nuclear power plants. After the Chernobyl accident all the reactors were fully modernized.
Even if all the plant workers decided to make the reactors explode, they couldn’t. The security system will stop the reactors in any dangerous case.
There are three control boards in the controls room. Each doard is supervised by a chief engineer.

To come out of the plant and put on your usual clothes you need to pass through two staged radiation
background control system.
If the system thinks you are “dirty” you have to clean the part of your body it has chosen. The second stage is a special shower and you should take off the dress you wore in the plant.
