한국전쟁 - 영동(永同) 시내에 진입하는 美 제1기병사단
사진은 1950. 7. 28. 한국전쟁 당시, 충북 최남단의 영동(永同)시내로 진입하는 美 제1기병사단의 모습이다.
미국 Cleveland News의 종군기자 Ed Hoffman이 촬영한 것으로 美 제1 기병사단이 영동시내로
진격하면서 북한 공산軍을 체포하였으며 美軍은 이들에게서 美軍 군수사령부가 있는
부산(釜山)을 총공격 할 것이라는 정보를 입수하였다.
